makpar cares

Makpar’s culture is built on a foundation of a simple idea: the purpose of creating a business is to give back to the community; in essence to exist Beyond Profit.
Uplifting Communities
Our core value of Uplifting Communities means we uplift our teams but also the people in need around us. Our co-founders have been involved in giving back to the community since Makpar’s inception. As Pakistani immigrants, they regularly stay involved in causes close to their heart, especially creating educational opportunities that uplift others.
A culture of giving is in our DNA

Our CEO, Seema Khan, sat on the board of Loudoun Cares and acted as the pro-bono Treasurer for many years. We invest in employees who have a passion for giving back. For example, our IT Manager Tim Lindow regularly runs drives where he donates old laptops to foster kids. We support this cause through donating laptops and providing promotional help. We always want to help our employees who want to uplift their community! Throughout the year, we also do matching donation fundraising drives for causes that our employees care about.

A team that volunteers together stays together.

Every year, we plan a Makpar Volunteer Day where we bring together employees to work towards a common cause. In the past, we’ve made birthday boxes for foster children and hygiene kits for the houseless. And there’s more to come!

Since we are a 100% remote company, we also support employees around the country when they volunteer by donating to the cause of their choice.
