Welcoming the Next Generation of Leadership at Makpar

Author: Seema Khan, CEO of Makpar

When my husband Mushtaq Khan and I founded Makpar in 2009, we had a vision of creating a company that helps federal agencies enhance mission success, while also being a highly employee-centric organization.

Over the past 16 years, I truly believe we have brought this vision to life. As a result, we have gained a reputation of bringing integrity into everything we do – whether through our customer-facing work or how we treat our people.

As the federal IT arena becomes more dynamic and new innovations keep emerging, it is vital for Makpar to contintue to be on the cutting-edge in developing solutions to develop and integrate for our customers.

This is why I am excited to welcome the next generation of leadership at Makpar. Kaamil Khan will be taking over as President of the company, and I will continue in my role as CEO of Makpar.

As part of our succession plan, Kaamil will be working closely with me over the next two years to further expand his leadership capabilities.

Kaamil brings a high-level of energy and vitality to help Makpar expand its capabilities in the federal arena. He has a highly sound vision for enhancing our IT modernization capabilities to solve federal agencies’ most complex challenges.

In his new role, Khan will be responsible for guiding strategic growth and innovation development and will be providing the vision for enhancing the company’s IT modernization capabilities.

He also understands nuturing connections in our community and will regularly be attending networking events as part of his responsibilities to serve as Makpar's brand representative.

Kaamil is also part of the ACT-IAC Voyagers 2025 Class. This is a very special leadership development initiative designed for rising talent who demonstrate a high potential for future advancement of ACT-IAC’s mission in both Government and industry.

Kaamil has also fully fostered our Makpar’s award-winning culture, which is all about providing abundant support and opportunities to help employees grow and reach their fullest potential. In fact, when Kaamil started working at Makpar in 2017, there were only 25 employees and now we are approaching 170 employees and rising.

Kaamil has demonstrated a strong track record of helping Makpar grow in the last few years, and I am confident that he will be an excellent steward as we grow to take up new challenges.
